A loss isn’t enough to drop Oklahoma out of the driver’s seat of the Big 12 Championship in 2020. Well, at least according to oddsmakers.

The Sooners have won five-straight Big 12 Championships and should be expected to win their sixth-straight until they are counted out. Oklahoma suffered an unexpected loss in its Big 12 opener in a 38-35 loss to Kansas State.

But Lincoln Riley and the Sooners have lost at least once since he arrived in 2015. This isn’t uncharted waters, but it is a lot sooner than Oklahoma typically loses. That, though, hasn’t changed the odds. The Sooners are -105 and the favorites still, with Texas closing the gap as +130 chances to win the Big 12 according to BetMGM.

The Longhorns won a wild one in their Big 12 opener against Texas Tech on the road, pulling out an overtime win after being down 15 points with about three minutes left in the game. Texas is 2-0 after also beating UTEP.

Oklahoma State has the third best odds (+800) and are also 2-0 to start 2020. Iowa State is fourth (+1600) and the Cyclones are 1-1.

Oklahoma goes on the road this week and are seven-point favorites against Iowa State. The game kicks off at 6:30 p.m. CT in Ames, Iowa.
