One of the top running back prospects in the country is ending his season early to prepare for the next level.
Oklahoma State’s Chuba Hubbard is opting out of the remainder of the 2020 college football season, and will enter the 2021 NFL draft, Cowboys head coach Mike Gundy announced Saturday.
Hubbard could have been one of the top running backs selected in the 2020 draft, but surprised many by returning for his senior season, which hasn’t been as productive as expected.
A strong performance throughout the predraft process could still make Hubbard one of the first running backs off the board in next year’s draft.
