The Oklahoma Sooners have dramatically turned over their wide receiver room this offseason. Responding to several departures, the Sooners added [autotag]Jovannie Gibson[/autotag], [autotag]Keontez Lewis[/autotag], [autotag]Isaiah Sategna[/autotag].
Now, they have earned a commitment from Cal wide receiver [autotag]Josiah Martin[/autotag], who will be their fourth wide receiver out of the [autotag]transfer portal[/autotag].
Martin played his high school ball at Denton Guyer and was a three-star prospect in the [autotag]2024 recruiting class[/autotag].
In his one season at Cal, Martin recorded 12 receptions for 112 yards and carried the ball five times for 44 yards and a touchdown in seven games. In the L.A. Bowl loss to UNLV, Martin had 69 total yards and a touchdown on five touches.
Martin is the sixth wide receiver the Sooners have added between the transfer portal and the [autotag]2025 recruiting class[/autotag] as wide receivers coach Emmett Jones attempts to retool the group ahead of a pivotal 2025 season.
