Oklahoma remains unranked in Amway Coaches Poll

The fresh Amway Coaches Poll is out, but the Oklahoma Sooners are still missing from the Top 25.

Oklahoma is not used to being an unranked football team, but that is where they found themselves after their second straight loss a week ago to Iowa State.

Yesterday, the Sooners bounced back with a wild four-overtime win over No. 22 Texas.

There was some speculation this could be enough to get Oklahoma back into the rankings, but it looks like they will be forced to wait at least another week as they are unranked again in the official release of the Amway Coaches Poll powered by USA Today Sports.

They are the third-highest team in the “also receiving votes” group, just behind UCF and NC State.

Topping the rankings is still Clemson at No. 1, and the top five is rounded out with Alabama, Georgia, Notre Dame, and Ohio State.

There are three Big 12 teams in the rankings with Oklahoma State at No. 7, Iowa State at No. 20, and Kansas State at No. 22.

Oklahoma will be off next week before heading head to Fort Worth to match up with TCU on October 24th.
