Oklahoma is riding high after their fifth straight win on Saturday night in dominant fashion over rival Oklahoma State.
It was an all-around team display to help the Sooners win by four touchdowns, and the quarterback play of freshman Spencer Rattler led the charge. He was even good enough to earn him the honors of both the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week as well as Big 12 Newcomer of the Week.

Rattler threw for north of 300 yards with four touchdowns and a rushing touchdown on Saturday – becoming just the fourth Oklahoma player in the last 20 years to throw for four scores while running for another. On top of that, perhaps most importantly, he avoided any turnovers against a Cowboy defense that came in playing with a load of confidence.
Since his benching against Texas, Rattler has been simply sensational. His uptick in performance has been one of the many contributing factors to the Sooners’ win streak down the back half of the season.
Next up will be the final road trip of the season at West Virginia on Saturday night.
