Oklahoma on the outside of final Ferris Mowers Coaches Poll

The Oklahoma Sooners were on the outside of the final Ferris Mowers coaches poll.

In the latest edition of the Ferris Mowers Men’s Basketball Coaches Poll, Oklahoma missed the final cut after their second-round exit from the NCAA tournament. The season ended after a loss to the eventual runner-up of the entire tournament drawing a matchup with Gonzaga. New head coach Porter Moser‘s old team finished inside the top 15 at No. 12 with a 26-5 record. They were eliminated in the Sweet 16.

The rest of the Big 12 Conference was well represented following the NCAA tournament coming to a close. The Baylor Bears come in at No. 1 after defeating Gonzaga in the National Championship game. Kansas was the second-highest school coming in at No. 16. West Virginia, Oklahoma State, Texas, and Texas Tech make up the six conference schools to make the list. OU received votes but would finish as the No. 29 team overall.
