The Oklahoma State Cowboys are looking to reload their talent after losing Chuba Hubbard and Tylan Wallace to the NFL draft. The Cowboys are looking to finally get back on the winning side against the Sooners. It has been since 2014 since they last defeated Oklahoma.

The unit went through injuries and inconsistent play in 2020, but has a chance to build on a strong finish. Oklahoma State projects well at quarterback with junior Spencer Sanders and Shane Illingworth, who received valuable playing time when Sanders was injured last fall. Running back Chuba Hubbard’s departure doesn’t sting as much as many expected. Dezmon Jackson, LD Brown and Dominic Richardson combined for 1,207 rush yards and nine touchdowns last fall. Jackson, Brown and Utah State transfer Jaylen Warren are all seniors, so Richardson’s development for 2022 and 2023 will be key.
