Oklahoma absolutely throttled winless Kansas yesterday by a final score of 62-9 to improve to 5-2 on the season and 4-2 in conference action.

The win was good enough to get the Sooners to jump up one spot to No. 18 in the latest Amway Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.

There is a new No. 1 at the top with Alabama taking the top spot after Clemson’s road loss to Notre Dame.

The Fighting Irish’s win has earned them the No. 2 ranking, followed by Ohio State, Clemson, and Florida to round out the top five.

Other Big 12 teams in the rankings include Oklahoma State at No. 13, Iowa State at No. 16, and Texas at No. 24.

After a week off this week, the Sooners will return to action at home for Bedlam against the No. 13 Cowboys on Nov. 21st.
