The Lakers (-800) were taken to the mat by the lowly Detroit Pistons Saturday before finally pushing through for a 135-129 win in double overtime. It was a cautionary tale on why to never bet a heavy favorite on the money line, regardless of how great its chances look to win straight up. PASS and look to the spread instead.

Against the spread (ATS)
The LAKERS -12.5 (-105) are a solid bet to have a better outing Monday, although Davis and LeBron appearing on the injury report is a little disconcerting. Check the injury report throughout the day and verify both are playing before finalizing any wagers. If one or both sit, that completely changes the complexion of this game.
Over/Under (O/U)
UNDER 218.5 (-110) is the play as the Lakers could be a little tired after working double overtime last time out. Plus, they’re on a 5-0 Under run in their past five games decided in regulation. The Thunder are averaging just 107.5 PPG, and they managed only 99 points in a loss against the Lakers back on Jan. 13 in OKC.
