Oklahoma at Nebraska odds, picks, and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Oklahoma at Nebraska odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Oklahoma Sooners (2-0) invade Lincoln to take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers (1-2) Saturday at noon ET (FOX). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Oklahoma vs. Nebraska odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

Oklahoma comes into this matchup against its former conference foe humming in the early season under new coach Brent Venables.

Behind QB Dillon Gabriel and offensive coordinator Jeff Lebby, the offense is on the right path. With Venables controlling the defense, this could be a playoff team.

Nebraska comes into this game moving in an entirely different direction after firing coach Scott Frost this week.

QB Casey Thompson transferred in from Texas in hopes he could provide the offense needed to compete in the Big Ten West. With Mark Whipple as offensive coordinator, the Nebraska offense was supposed to be good. While they were, the defense has severely let down the team.

The Cornhuskers kept this game close in Norman last season before losing 23-16. This game could be a different scenario.

Oklahoma is No. 6 in the AFCA Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.

Oklahoma at Nebraska picks and predictions

Prediction

Oklahoma 41 Nebraska 24

Money line

PASS. The price is too high  for Oklahoma and I do not see Nebraska winning to make the underdog worth it.

Against the spread

OKLAHOMA -10.5 (-105) is my favorite bet in this game.

Oklahoma has all the momentum in this game. Gabriel and Lebby have the offense humming and Venables has the defense playing great.

Nebraska is a mess. After firing Frost, they will be lucky to score in this game.

The game was a 7-point decision for the Sooners last season. This year it could be 17 or more.

Over/Under

LEAN UNDER 66.5 (-110)

Both teams can score. But will they be the question.

Oklahoma and Kent State had an O/U of 72.5 last week and the game got to 36. The Oklahoma defense is elite, and the Nebraska offense is not. It will be tough for the Huskers to find points here. Oklahoma might get to 40. But Nebraska will not do their part. Take the under in a small play. If you like parlays, take Oklahoma -10.5 with the under 66.5 for a payout of +280.
