No. 11 Oklahoma is currently hosting Baylor in their home finale of the season hoping to run their win streak up to six games.
After missing last week’s game with West Virginia due to a COVID-19 outbreak among the players and coaches, many were keeping a watchful eye out to who would be at the stadium tonight for the game.
The Sooners did get several key players back tonight after missing them for Bedlam, but are missing a medley of others.
On the coaching front, Oklahoma looks to have most of their staff back tonight as well although one noted absence is assistant head coach for offense, tight ends and H-backs Shane Beamer.
Bill Bedenbaugh, Dennis Simmons, DeMarco Murray and Lincoln Riley down on the field. Cale Gundy is typically up in the box.
Shane Beamer is typically on the field, too. I do not see him.
Oklahoma would not confirm if Beamer was coaching or not tonight. #Sooners

Beamer is considered a solid candidate for the South Carolina head coaching vacancy, but that is believed to be unrelated to this absence. An Oklahoma spokesperson would not confirm or deny he is coaching against Baylor.
And before any South Carolina people get ahold of this, I do not believe that job opening and Shane Beamer's absence are correlated tonight.

Sooners Wire will provide more updates on the situation as we get them.
Oklahoma currently holds a 3-0 lead on Baylor in the first quarter.
