OKC Thunder news: Sacha Killeya-Jones signed onto contract

The Thunder roster is back to 20 players.

Minutes after announcing the waiving of veteran guard Sterling Brown, the Oklahoma City Thunder announced the signing of forward Sacha Killeya-Jones.

The 24-year-old went undrafted in the 2019 NBA draft. Killeya-Jones spent last season overseas in Israel, playing for the Hapoel Gilboa Galil, where he averaged 18.4 points, 7.6 rebounds and 1.15 blocks in 30.8 minutes per game.

It is uncertain what type of contract Killeya-Jones signed although a report said the Thunder signed the former Kentucky player to an Exhibit-10 deal. This could also be a case of signing Killeya-Jones to acquire his G League rights and then sign him to the OKC Blue.

With the signing, the Thunder are back up to 20 players on their roster. That number will need to be trimmed to 17 when the regular season starts.
