A rare instance where Wolverines and Buckeyes fans are likely to come together.

This is perhaps a rare case where Wolverines and Buckeyes unite.

Though there are plenty who agree with the Big Ten’s decision to postpone or effectively cancel the 2020 fall college football season in-conference, it’s not something that’s sitting right with either the bulk of the players in the league, nor their parents or coaches.

Enter Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields — again.

Fields has been a prominent voice in the ‘#WeWantToPlay’ movement, along with Michigan defensive back Hunter Reynolds. But given Fields’ national notoriety, his voice is close to parallel with Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence’s. But unlike Lawrence, Fields is in a conference that shut down its season, and he’s looking to do something about it.

While parents across the league are busy writing the Big Ten, urging commissioner Kevin Warren to reconsider, Fields is taking his plea to the people, putting forth a petition that anyone can sign. In just over an hour’s time, it already has over 30,000 signatures.

Though Michigan fans might be hesitant to support Ohio State in any fashion, this might be one rare instance that many Wolverines faithful and Buckeye Nation will find some common ground.
