Ohio State women’s soccer opponent, time announced for NCAA Tournament

Ohio State women’s soccer, which sits as a No. 5 seed, will face James Madison University in the NCAA Tournament Friday.

While football may always take the cake in Columbus, the Ohio State men’s and women’s soccer programs have been crushing it this season, and for the latter, its path to win the NCAA Tournament will commence on Friday at home against James Madison.

Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. EST. The official bracket is out and can be seen here with Duke, Florida State, Mississippi State and USC coming in as the No. 1 seeds.

Ohio State, if it wins, will draw the winner of FIU and Auburn which will kick off just an hour after the Buckeyes do. Here’s how the Twitter/X site announced their opponent.

The Buckeyes had a strong season, earning an at-large bid in the tournament. They had been ranked as high as a top-ten team in the country and pushed the No. 1-seeded USC to extra time in a recent match. They have a 1-0 home win over Duke from August on their resume as well.

The team ended the season 12-5-3 overall with a 6-3-2 conference record. They are 7-1-3 at home, so the expectation certainly is that they can come out on top Friday.
