Ohio State softball team adds Cambry Arnold as graduate transfer

Ohio State softball announced the addition of graduate transfer and Ohio native Cambry Arnold Monday.

The Ohio State softball team announced an addition to its squad on Monday with the addition of graduate transfer Cambry Arnold. After spending her first three years at James Madison, Arnold will now have one year of eligibility remaining at OSU.

“We are excited to welcome Cambry back home to join the Buckeye family,” said head coach Kelly Kovach Schoenly. “As a graduate transfer, she comes to us with high-level postseason experience. Cambry will be a solid addition to our talented outfield group.”

During her time as a Duke, Arnold was a three-time NFCA All-Northeast Region honoree, including one appearance on the first team. She was also a two-time VaSID All-State selection and earned a spot on the CAA All-Rookie Team.

The Ohio native appeared in 150 games in 2019 before sitting out the extremely shortened 2020 season because of injury. Now, she’s come home and should be a key addition to the team next season.
