An offensive tackle prospect already being linked as a potential target for the New York Jets with the 13th pick of the draft has officially thrown his hat into the draft ring.
Ohio State offensive tackle Paris Johnson Jr. officially declared for the 2023 NFL Draft Monday. Johnson is seen as one of the top prospects at the position in this draft class, along with Peter Skoronski or Northwestern and Broderick Jones of Georgia.
With the Jets clearly needing help on the offensive line, including at the tackle positions, Johnson is going to be pegged heavily to the Jets in mock drafts at No. 13.
The 6-foot-6, 310-pounder was a consensus All-American and first-team Big Ten selection this season in helping Ohio State reach the College Football Playoff.
Now that Johnson is officially in the draft, expect to see plenty more mock drafts that pair him with the Jets at No. 13.
