Just three weeks ago, the Ohio State basketball team was sitting outside of the top 25 in the Ferris Mowers Coaches Poll. But what a difference three weeks can make.

The Buckeyes have been making leaps and bounds over the past few weeks. From not being ranked to No. 18, then to No. 15 last week. Now in the latest coaches poll, the OSU basketball team has made another jump, this time into the top ten with a No. 9 ranking.

Chris Holtman’s club had an excellent run in the month of January. During that stretch, the Buckeyes came away with six wins and only two losses. Even the two games dropped were hard-fought battles that could’ve gone either way, losing by a combined total of only five points.

The basketball team will only play once this week, and it’s a tough one. The Buckeyes will travel to Iowa City to take on the Hawkeyes who sit directly one spot ahead of them at No. 8 in the country, while both teams are currently tied for third place in conference play.

The coaches top ten includes Gonzaga (1), Baylor (2), Villanova (3), Michigan (4), Houston (5), Texas (6), Alabama (7), Iowa (8), Ohio State (9), and Tennessee (10).

Here’s how the rest of the top 25 look.
