Ohio State freshman Juni Mobley scores 33 in summer league debut

This kid can get buckets #GoBucks

The Ohio State basketball team knew it was getting a good one when John “Juni” Mobley committed to wearing the Scarlet and Gray. He might be better than it was initially thought.

Mobley played in his first summer league game of the year on Sunday. The matchup featured the true freshman going up against OSU veteran guard Bruce Thornton. Thornton’s team would come out on top by a score of 101-89, but it was Mobley who stole the show.

Mobley poured in 33 points while going 10 of 20 from the floor and draining eight from beyond the arc on 15 attempts. He was also a perfect five for five from the charity stripe.

It was a dazzling start for the true freshman. Clearly, the kid can score and if he keeps this up, he’ll be an immediate contributor for head coach Jake Diebler and the Buckeyes when the season rolls around.
