Ohio State football will hit the field for the second round of the College Football Playoff against Big Ten foe, the Oregon Ducks in the Rose Bowl on New Year’s Day. The availability report was released and as expected with such an extended layoff, the Buckeyes look relatively healthy.
We already knew the offensive line would be missing starting center, Seth McLaughlin and starting offensive tackle, Josh Simmons, but those two pieces have been missing for a while now. The biggest change between this report and the one before the contest against the Tennessee Volunteers is the addition of Brenton “Inky” Jones, who is a contributor on special teams being listed as out this week, but that shouldn’t be enough to swing the game in either direction.
The whole report is as follows:
Out
RB TC Caffey
S Brenten “Inky” Jones
QB Mason Maggs
C Seth McLaughlin
OT Josh Simmons
There are no major surprise injuries for Ohio State as it prepares to face Oregon in the CFP quarterfinals at the Rose Bowl. https://t.co/Bt7vBN4qD5
