Ohio State fans have to hope history doesn’t repeat after a Cleveland Browns playoff win

There always is some hitch when it comes to the Cleveland Browns and winning.

Now, Ohio State fans have to hope there isn’t a repeat of Jan. 1 and 2 in 1995.

The Buckeyes meet Alabama in the CFP Championship on Monday at Hard Rock Stadium.

What does that have to do with the Browns?

The last time the Browns won a playoff game — prior to defeating the Steelers, 48-37, on Sunday — came on Jan. 1, 1995, when they downed the New England Patriots, 20-13.

The following day, Alabama and Ohio State met in the Citrus Bowl. The result? Alabama trailed 17-14 in the fourth quarter before scoring the last 10 points to take a 24-17 victory.

The winning score came with 42 seconds left when Jay Barker found Sherman Williams with a 50-yard touchdown pass.

You can watch Williams take a short pass to the house below … if you choose.
