This Ohio State team is a contender for big things
One fluky win against a top ten team is one thing, continuing to show out against top level talent is a statement of what Ohio State is. The Buckeyes have now beaten a Villanova squad that just knocked off No. 1 Kansas, blew out North Carolina in Chapel Hill, won its first game of the season against a gritty Cincinnati squad, and now this.
FINAL: No. 5 Ohio State 71, No. 6 Kentucky 65.
The Buckeyes held on late despite Kaleb Wesson fouling out with 3:30 remaining. Multiple teams now have a reasonable case to be No. 1 in Monday’s AP poll — and Ohio State is definitely one of them.

It’s no stretch to say that this team should contend for the Big Ten title and more. If things break right and this team continues to develop, finding its way to Atlanta for the Final Four shouldn’t be out of the question either.
The talent, depth, basketball IQ, and coaching of this year’s Ohio State team is good enough to cut down some nets multiple times in 2019-2020.
