The Ohio State basketball team is playing well right now. In fact, the Buckeyes have put together an impressive January stretch, altogether winning six of eight games played this past month. And the two losses coming by a combined total of only five points.
The AP voters took notice this week and vaulted OSU all the way up to No. 7 in the national rankings. That’s a six-spot jump from last week’s No. 13 ranking.
The road doesn’t get any easier for Ohio State. They will only play one game this week, but it is against an Iowa Hawkeye team that is sitting directly behind them at No. 8 in the AP poll. The Hawkeyes and the Buckeyes are currently tied for third place in the Big Ten standings.
