Ohio State basketball drops out of Ferris Mowers Coaches Poll

The Ohio State basketball team has dropped out of the Ferris Motors Coaches Basketball Poll.

It was another week of mixed results for the Ohio State basketball team, and unfortunately, it was enough to result in the Buckeyes falling out of the latest Ferris Mowers Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports. That’s an over five-spot drop from the last ranking. OSU throttled an unranked Nebraska team at home, but got beat soundly by No. 17 Minnesota on the road Sunday.

Chris Holtmann’s crew is in the “others receiving votes” section and could vault back into the Top 25 with a good showing this week. The good news is that there’s a good opportunity to make an impression with games against Penn State and Rutgers. The bad news is that they both will be challenges in the rough and tumble Big Ten.

But back to the poll. The top ten consists of Gonzaga at No. 1, followed by Baylor (2), Villanova (3), Texas (4), Creighton (5), Kansas (6), Iowa (7), Tennessee (8), Michigan (9), and Wisconsin (1).
