We finally have what we hope is the finished product when it comes to Ohio State basketball’s 2020-2021 schedule. With the coronavirus pandemic turning many tournaments and locations upside down, it’s been an issue figuring out what was going to stick. Already in the not too distant past, the Buckeyes pulled out of the Crossover Classic in South Dakota because of concerns over a surge in COVID-19 cases there.
Alas, the OSU athletic department released the entire schedule that consists of five non-conference games and twenty Big Ten contests. The season gets started just one week today when the Buckeyes host Illinois State at the Schott at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25. That game will be nationally televised by either ESPN2 or ESPNU.
The last non-conference game is a road contest against Notre Dame on Tuesday, Dec. 8 as a part of the already announced ACC/Big Ten Challenge. The Big Ten season then tips off December 16 and will run through March 6.
