Ohio State at Minnesota: Three things to know
- The Buckeyes allowed just 54 points in their last game, a Wednesday home win over Nebraska (90-54). OSU held the Cornhuskers to a 28.3% mark from the floor. For the season, the Bucks have held foes to a 40.1% accuracy mark en route to allowing just 65.1 points per game (second, Big Ten).
- Minnesota is coming off a road loss (71-59 to Wisconsin on Thursday) but is returning to the friendly confines of Williams Arena, where the Gophers haven’t lost since Feb. 26 (a stretch of 10 straight). UM’s offense has been in high gear over recent home games: the Gophers have averaged 89.6 PPG over their last five on home hardwood.
- The Gophers won both meetings last season. At home, Minnesota prevailed by a score of 84-71. But since 2015, Ohio State is 6-3 straight-up and 6-3 ATS against Minnesota. In those nine meetings, the Over went 6-2-1.
