Las Vegas must not have much confidence in Drew Lock.
Oddsmakers have been linking the Broncos to just about every quarterback available and now they’re linking Denver to a QB still under contract with another team! The Broncos have the fifth-best odds of landing Andy Dalton, according to BetMGM.
Dalton is currently under contract with the Bengals so he would need to be cut or traded to find a new home before Week 1. Here’s a look at the top-10 teams with the best odds of landing Dalton, according to BetMGM:
1. Jacksonville Jaguars | +260 |
2. Cincinnati Bengals | +350 |
3. New England Patriots | +400 |
4. Los Angeles Chargers | +1000 |
T-5. Denver Broncos | +1400 |
T-5. Pittsburgh Steelers | +1400 |
7. Miami Dolphins | +1800 |
8. Washington Redskins | +2200 |
T-9. Buffalo Bills | +3000 |
T-9. Green Bay Packers | +3000 |
Denver has also been given odds for landing Cam Newton (20/1) and Jameis Winston (8/1). We wouldn’t recommend betting on the Broncos bringing in a high-profile quarterback this offseason.
Denver has made it clear that Lock is the QB of the present and future and the team won’t want to create a controversy by bringing in a big-name backup. Right now, Lock and Jeff Driskel are the safest bets to serve as the Broncos’ top two quarterbacks in 2020.
