Oddsmakers say Broncos have outside chance of landing Justin Herbert

Will the Broncos go after Justin Herbert in the NFL draft?

The Denver Broncos are not believed to be in the market for a high-profile quarterback but oddsmakers seem to believe there’s at least an outside chance that the team could land Oregon’s Justin Herbert in the NFL draft.

The Broncos have been given +2000 odds of selecting Herbert in April’s draft, according to BetMGM.

Here are the eight teams considered the most likely to select Herbert, according to the oddsmakers:

1. Miami Dolphins +130
2. Los Angeles Chargers +170
T-3. Carolina Panthers +800
T-3. Indianapolis Colts +800
5. Jacksonville Jaguars +900
6. Las Vegas Raiders +1200
7. Tampa Bay Buccaneers +1800
8. Denver Broncos +2000

We wouldn’t recommend taking that bet.

Denver has its quarterback of the future in Drew Lock and the team signed veteran Jeff Driskel to serve as his backup. The Broncos might select a QB in the draft but it’s hard to imagine the team landing a big-name prospect like Herbert.

Plus, Herbert probably won’t even be on the board when Denver goes on the clock with the 15th overall pick. Many draft pundits believe the Los Angeles Chargers will select Herbert with the sixth overall pick.
