Medina is coming off of his first win of the season, and just the 4th in 16 decisions across 21 starts and 27 major-league appearances.
The Angels (-130) can’t be trusted with Canning on the hill, however, as he has a dismal 4.85 ERA across 42 2/3 IP in 8 home starts.
Run line/Against the spread
The A’s +1.5 (-185) will set you back nearly 2 times your potential return, and that’s way too much risk for not enough reward if you require a little bit of insurance.
If you like Oakland, just bet the A’s straight up. Even as part of a multi-team parlay, taking the A’s on the run line makes little sense.
