Alabama men’s basketball is set to begin the post season after a 2021-2022 regular season that did not live up to the expectations that were set after a historical season last year.
The season came to a close with two disappointing losses to Texas A&M and LSU, which may hurt morale heading into the conference tournament.
The Crimson Tide finish the regular season with a final record of 19-12 and will open up the postseason with the SEC Conference Tournament facing either Georgia or Vanderbilt in the opening round, then the team will move on to the NCAA Men’s Tournament.
Today, the SEC announced All-SEC teams and honors. Although Alabama missed out on any first team picks, there are a few names recognized in other areas.
While the awards are nice, Alabama head coach Nate Oats is certainly focused on the upcoming tournaments, which will ultimately decide how this season is remembered.
