Notre Dame/South Florida Game Predictions

Can Notre Dame do something they’ve only done 12 times the last 30 years? We’ll find out Saturday

The Irish finally got some live reps last week for the offense, which apparently they needed. With some game tape to review and correct some mistakes as the offensive line learns to zone block, there will be a jump in production. The weather won’t dictate much at all, it should be a fantastic fall afternoon, where the Irish show marked improvement from last week. The offense gets rolling early and often, as Ian Book looks more like himself, Kyren Williams continues his sophomore breakout, and Michael Mayer forces his way into more playing time.
As for the defense, South Florida will challenge the run defense. Their pair of small backs will give Clark Lea’s group early fit, but they settle down and there won’t be much running with the Bulls after this first quarter. As the Bull try and pound the ball on the ground, the secondary isn’t tested much. This should give Brian Kelly the option to sit star Kyle Hamilton as he works back from an ankle injury.
