Technically Alabama was seeded higher and the oddsmakers made them the favorites but you can’t convince me that the better team didn’t win Friday’s first round NCAA Tournament game between the sixth seeded Crimson Tide and 11th seeded Notre Dame.
Upset or not, whatever you’d like to call it, Notre Dame survives to fight another day as they won to move to a Second Round date with third seeded Texas Tech on Sunday. When you pull off a big win like the Irish did you’re bound to be celebrated in a big way, especially seeing as the Irish hadn’t been to an NCAA Tournament since 2017 entering this March.
