Who is the fastest Notre Dame running back you can remember in somewhat recent memory?
Whoever you answer with you need to become familiar with Chris Tyree as he’s about to be the fastest running back we’ve seen wear blue and gold in quite a while.
If you watch his highlight video below you’ll lose count of the times a defender appears to have a pretty good angle on him before Tyree simply takes off and either gains a few extra yards or ends up taking things all the way.
Tyreeis the first five-star running back to enter Notre Dame under Brian Kelly’s tenure. Running backs coach Lance Taylor get much of the credit for working his magic on Tyree and may just be getting started at elevating the level of play at the position.
