Next weekend sets up to be one of the best in college football this fall.
Notre Dame and Ohio State is a game we’ve talked about for a long time here as has the rest of the nation.
Other big games are being played that Saturday. Here are a few of those matchups:
- UCLA and Utah (both will be ranked)
- Oregon State and Washington State (both will be ranked)
- Auburn at Texas A&M (well, the names are big at least)
- Ole Miss at Alabama (potentially two top 15 teams)
- Colorado at Oregon (again, possibly two top 15 teams)
- Iowa at Penn State (pair of top 25 teams, Penn State in the top 10)
- Florida State at Clemson
So which game is ABC going to air in prime time opposite of Notre Dame-Ohio State, which airs on NBC?
Texas vs. winless Baylor.
They could have gone with Colorado-Oregon or Florida State-Clemson but instead went with Texas and Baylor.
Colorado and Oregon will square off on ABC at 3:30 p.m. ET while Florida State and Clemson kicks off at noon ET.
If that’s not punting because of the game that’ll be played opposite it, I’m not sure what is.
