Notre Dame returns home to play NC State

The Irish will look to keep up its winning against the Wolfpack.

Notre Dame is on a mission to get back to the NCAA Tournament, which it hasn’t since 2017. Many are down on the ACC this year, so there is doubt that the conference will have a lot of representation in March. For now, the Irish, winners of eight of their past nine games, only can worry about what the schedule has laid out for them. They will return from a three-game road trip Wednesday against NC State.

Dane Goodwin (.482) and Nate Laszewski (.439) both rank in the top 12 nationally in 3-point percentage. That’s good news for the Irish, who are 8-0 in games when they make at least 10 3-point shots. Laszewski also likely will use the 3-pointer to achieve a personal milestone over the next few games. He’s only 37 points away from becoming the 67th player in program history to score 1,000 career points, a feat that was achieved by Goodwin earlier this season.
