The Notre Dame men’s basketball team got a much-needed victory on Saturday as they knocked off Boston College 80-70 at Purcell Pavilion.
Dane Goodwin led the way for Notre Dame with 21 points while a double-double from forward Juwan Durham (12 points, 11 rebounds) went a long way in helping the Irish cause.
Notre Dame jumped out to a 42-32 halftime lead and unlike what has been the case much of the season, played Boston College to a second-half draw and win their first ACC contest of the year.
Nate Laszewski added 16 points for the victorious Fighting Irish while Prentiss Hubb contributed 13 more points.
Steffon Mitchell led Boston College with 16 points and 13 rebounds.
Notre Dame improves to 4-8 overall on the year and 1-5 in ACC play.
Notre Dame returns to action next Sunday when they travel to Miami.
