Notre Dame makes top three for 2024 California linebacker

The Irish will have one more chance to impress the top linebacker

Although it might have been gotten a bit lost in the draft hoopla last night, California linebacker [autotag]Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa[/autotag] released his final three schools with [autotag]Notre Dame[/autotag] as one of them.

The St. John Bosco star also included USC and Ohio State as teams he is still considering playing for. Viliamu-Asa has great size for the position at 6-foot, 3-inches and 230 pounds.

He’s rated among the best in the country, 8th at linebacker and 103rd overall according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

Reading into his recruitment, Viliamu-Asa currently has a scheduled official visit to all three schools, with the Irish sandwiched between visits in the middle of June. He was in South Bend during the Blue and Gold game, his second visit.

The timing of his return visit to South Bend isn’t ideal, but it won’t matter if head coach [autotag]Marcus Freeman[/autotag] and his staff hit a home run on the visit.
