Notre Dame loses captain for remainder of year

Not the news Notre Dame fans were hoping for on Thursday

Notre Dame’s defense will be playing a man down the rest of the season after Bo Bauer suffered a knee injury at practice Tuesday.

Marcus Freeman met the media for his regular Thursday availability and shared the unfortunate news.

“Sustained a knee injury in practice on Tuesday, which is devastating just because he’s a captain and he provides so much more than just production.”

When asked about how the injury impacts Notre Dame for the rest of 2022, Freeman shared that Bauer’s loss isn’t just about him making tackles himself.

“Just the energy, the ability to motivate our players, it’ll be a tremendous loss for us.”
