Notre Dame lands their first 2024 commitment after Blue vs. Gold game

BOOOOM!!!!

The Irish have done very well on the recruiting trail since Marcus Freeman arrived on campus and it has not changed one bit since he was elevated to the head coaching position. Actually, it has improved, a drastic change in philosophy since the Brian Kelly era.

The Blue vs. Gold game, or any spring game, is a big draw for many prospects and Freeman wanted to take full advantage of the environment. He did exactly that by securing the first class of 2024 commitment in defensive lineman Brandon Davis-Swain. The six-foot-four-inch and 230-pound four-star end from Michigan went to Twitter to make his intentions known.

Davis-Swain had already garnered a lot of interest, holding offers from Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State, Ole Miss and Tennessee. Although early in the process, having that kind of Power-5 interest is extremely impressive. He becomes the first 2024 commit for the Irish as they are now off and running in that cycle.
