Notre Dame in NFL – Watch Quenton Nelson bury Bears defensive back

Quenton Nelson vs. Kyle Fuller did not go the way of the Virginia Tech product on Sunday.

Quenton Nelson is about as well-respected of offensive lineman as you’re going to find in the NFL.  The guard is physical, moves incredibly well for his size and has a football instinct that simply can’t be taught.

Nelson, the Notre Dame product who now stars for the Indianapolis Colts, was in Chicago over the weekend to take on the then-unbeaten Chicago Bears.

With the Colts in control 16-3 in the fourth quarter, a sweep to rookie running back Jonathan Taylor was called and Nelson had the duty of pulling.

In his path was Bears corner Kyle Fuller who is very respected for his ability to take on the run, but this round certainly didn’t go to the Bears former first round draft pick.

That block, or further burying of Fuller is perhaps the more accurate way of describing it, went to Nelson and the Colts as they eventually finished the drive with a successful field goal to extend the lead to 19-3.

The Colts wound up winning the game 19-11 and improved to 3-1 as the Bears loss also made them 3-1 a quarter of the way through the 2020 season.
