Notre Dame had several stellar performances Saturday but these stars shined the brightest in beating Syracuse and moving to 10-0.

Offense: Ian Book

The obvious choice, but his senior teammate Javon McKinley deserves a ton of credit as well. McKinley came into the game leading the team in receptions and receiving yards but had yet to find the endzone. Book found McKinley three times for scores and added two more on the ground. He goes into the Notre Dame record book as the winningest quarterback in Irish history. What a career for the senior.

Defensive: Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah
Surprising that another senior balled out today? I wasn’t as JOK was an absolute force on the defensive side of the ball. Big hits, one which caused a fumble, and always around the ball, picking up another fumble. JOK’s last two years have been a sight to see and we’ll be seeing him soon do spectacular things in the NFL next year. A great final home game in Blue and Gold for JOK.
