Knute Rockne was the highest former Fighting Irish coach to make the list, coming in at three. He trails only Paul Bryant and Nick Saban on the list.

No. 131 – Jesse Harper

Between 1913 and 1917 Harper helped lead Notre Dame to a 34-5-1 record.  His 35-13 win over Army in 1913 is said to have been what first put Notre Dame football on the map and his hiring of Knute Rockne as an assistant coach would payoff in the not-so-distant future.
