Notre Dame football: Remember when the Irish steam rolled two first round defensive linemen?

Remember that time…that was awesome.

The first day of the 2023 NFL draft saw some drama towards the end if you are a follower of Notre Dame football.  First off, tight end Michael Mayer didn’t get drafted in the first round as Dalton Kincaid from Utah was the only tight end selected, going to the Bills 25th overall.

Shortly after Kincaid went off the board then a couple of defensive linemen Notre Dame is familiar with had their names called just before the round ended.  Myles Murphy and Bryan Bresee, both of Clemson, went 28th and 29th overall respectively to the Bengals and Saints.

If you’re wondering what that has to do with Notre Dame then remember that those two were on the vaunted Clemson defensive line the Irish ran for 263-yards against last November.  [autotag]Logan Diggs[/autotag] (back in simpler times) and [autotag]Audric Estime[/autotag] both topped 100-yards that night as the Irish steamrolled then-fourth ranked Clemson 35-14.

Below are just a handful of photos from that memorable night last November.  Heck, a few of them even feature Notre Dame players that will still be in blue and gold this coming fall.
