The ink is still wet on the 2023 recruiting class and it’s almost a whole year away from the early signing period for the 2024 class but [autotag]Marcus Freeman[/autotag] isn’t resting on his laurels.
The [autotag]Notre Dame[/autotag] head coach and his staff have been going over prospects that they want and have identified 2025 Floridian [autotag]Jaime Ffrench Jr.[/autotag] as one they are trying to lure North and play in South Bend. Today, Freeman and wide receivers coach [autotag]Chansi Stuckey[/autotag] made a verbal offer to Ffrench Jr. joining the likes of [autotag]Alabama[/autotag], [autotag]Florida[/autotag], [autotag]Miami (FL)[/autotag], [autotag]Georgia[/autotag], [autotag]Ohio State[/autotag], [autotag]Penn State[/autotag] and a host of others trying to impress the rising junior.

Most likely Ffrench Jr. ends up as a wide receiver, but his six-foot-one-inch and 175-pound frame could see him landing as a defensive back as well. The next step would be for Ffrench Jr. to make a visit, as he has already been to [autotag]Florida State[/autotag], [autotag]Texas A&M[/autotag], [autotag]Pittsburgh[/autotag] (where his brother Maurice played) and a few others.
Time will tell if the Irish are true competitors for one of the best players in the country in his class, but offering early is a good sign that both parties are interested.
