Notre Dame football loses starting offensive lineman for the season

The Irish’s offensive line depth will be challenged

Coming out of [autotag]Notre Dame football[/autotag]’s bye week, head coach Marcus Freeman brought some bad news with him in his session with the media.

Freeman announced the starting right guard [autotag]Rocco Spindler[/autotag] will be out the remainder of the season due to a knee injury. The Irish social media account was quick to action, as they made a change to the depth chart for this weekends game against Wake Forest.

Sophomore [autotag]Billy Schrauth[/autotag] will get the start in Spindler’s place, and the hope is that the transition will be fairly seamless. He has played this season, although not in a starting role.

Schrauth was the No. 5 interior offensive lineman and 169th overall prospect according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings as a recruit.
