Notre Dame football adds 2031 & 2032 home-home games with SEC Power

The Fighting Irish and Florida Gators have agreed on a home-home series starting in 2031 with Notre Dame getting the first home game.

In 10 years, Notre Dame will start a home and home series against the SEC’s Florida Gators.

These two historic programs have only faced each other once, in the 1992 Sugar Bowl, which saw the Irish come out on top 39-28.

It’s a bit odd to think about this game, as many of the players who will be facing off in Notre Dame Stadium are still in middle school. Who knows where each program will be when this series of games is played. Will Brian Kelly still be at the helm or has he been long gone after retiring?

What about Florida and Dan Mullen? The Gators haven’t seem to been able to find an replacement for former Notre Dame assistant Urban Meyer, going through 5 different coaches since the new Jacksonville Jaguars head coach retired after the 2010 season.

What we do know is that both of these teams will face each other starting November 15th, 2031 and concluding September 11th, 2032. It’s about time these two storied programs faced off against each other.
