Chances are this year that if you spent money on tickets to an Iowa State game that you at least left with a very compelling finish.
Iowa State has a 7-5 record but based solely off the scores one could see just a possession a game going differently and the Cyclones being 11-1 instead, as only their 27-17 loss at Kansas State to cap the season was by more than one possession.
On the same note their wins over Northern Iowa (OT) and Texas were by a combined five points. Things go wrong one more time in either of those at its instead 6-6 or 5-7.
My grand takeaway from that is that I’ll be pretty surprised if this one isn’t very compelling late and that really, they never had an awful showing on any night.
