Notre Dame at Louisville picks and predictions
Prediction
Notre Dame 30, Louisville 17
Moneyline
PASS.
Notre Dame has far more talent, and it went on the road and beat a then-top-25 side last weekend.
It is 2-0 straight up on the road and should make that 3-0, but at -250, there’s no value on betting a road favorite in college football.
Against the spread
BET NOTRE DAME -6.5 (-110).
For starters, the Fighting Irish are 5-1 ATS this season and 2-0 ATS on the road. That is impressive. They also have a more competent quarterback in former Wake standout QB Sam Hartman, who has 14 touchdowns and 0 interceptions on the season.
Louisville hasn’t played anyone notable yet. It beat NC State by 3 in its last game and took down Boston College 56-28 the week prior. Neither of those teams is at the level of Notre Dame, and the Fighting Irish should be able to overpower Louisville.
Take NOTRE DAME -6.5 (-110).
Over/Under
LEAN UNDER 53.5 (-110).
The Fighting Irish have scored 35 points over the last 2 weeks. Their offense hasn’t fared well against competitive teams, which Louisville, being a top-25 side, is. Notre Dame has gone Under in 2 straight games.
Louisville is 1-2 O/U over its last 3 games and has scored 21 or fewer points in 2 of those 3, allowing 14 or fewer in 2 of the 3 as well. Neither team is driving with consistency now, and that may not change.
Back UNDER 53.5 (-110).
