Notre Dame 52, Navy 20 – Game Ball Awards

Khalid Kareem forced two fumbles early on and got Navy out of their game-plan offensively.

There are a lot of players that dominated but can you possibly not give it to a young man who tied the school record for touchdown receptions in a single contest?  Ian Book played great while a pedestrian running attack piled up over 100 yards but required over 30 carries to sneak by there.

Chase Claypool‘s career afternoon earns him our game-ball for the day.  He’s turned into the star we wanted him to become and in recent weeks has probably seen his draft stock soar as a result.

His four touchdowns tie Maurice Stovall for the most in one game in school history, and that’s a school that has been playing football for quite some time.  Mad praise today for Claypool who’s second-to-last game at Notre Dame Stadium will go down as his finest.
