Northwestern is coming off a 21-7 victory over Rutgers. The Wildcats allowed a 97-yard touchdown drive early in the second quarter and almost nothing else in a contest that saw them hold the Scarlet Knights to 222 total yards. On the season, NU has struggled in finishing on drives. The Wildcats’ red-zone scoring percentage (68.2%) ranks 122nd in the nation.
The Wolverines are coming off a bye week after a three-point win (32-29) at Nebraska Oct. 9. Michigan covered a 2.5-point spread against the Cornhuskers and has gone 5-1 against the spread this season. UM has been stingy against both the run and the pass in holding foes to 15.5 points per game (eighth FBS).
