North Carolina moves up two spots in AP Top 25 poll

The UNC football program has moved up in the latest Associated Press Top 25 poll after beating Pitt on Saturday.

The North Carolina Tar Heels are 4-0 to start the season for the first time since 1997 and as they head into the bye week, they are doing some on a positive note.

Saturday’s win over Pitt moved them to 1-0 in Atlantic Coast Conference play to start the year as they are chasing a spot in Charlotte. And now, a day later, the team finds themselves moving up in the latest Associated Press Top 25 poll as well.

The poll was released on Sunday afternoon and has UNC jumping up two spots from No.17 to No. 15 in the rankings.  This is the highest the Tar Heels have been ranked all season as they are off to a hot start.

The Tar Heels are currently the second-highest-ranked ACC team behind only No. 5 Florida State. Duke moved up to No. 17 while Miami sits at No. 18.

Clemson fell out of the poll after a loss to Florida State.
